Reserved carrel hour

Stake Reading Hour

The Stake Reading Hour is for a reader who already knows which question to ask. You get a carrel, a matched worksheet, and a librarian who checks your reading rather than teaching the whole stake program.

Reserve a reading hour

An adult reading alone at a sunlit library carrel with a closed notebook

Who sits for this

Adults with one concrete snag: a stake account that still shows activating, a lockup date they cannot interpret, or uncertainty about which key can withdraw.

What you carry home

You leave with that one snag named in ordinary language and a short list of public fields to recheck. Wider validator study is pointed toward the desk or the Saturday circle.

Who leads

The librarian on duty, Hana Seo or Minjae Kwon, depending on the day.

Pace of the sitting

  1. Name the snagTen minutes to place the question on the correct worksheet: warmup, lockup, or authority.
  2. ReadThirty-five minutes at the carrel with the librarian checking the fields you mark.
  3. RestateFifteen minutes to say the answer back. You keep the sheet.

On the table

  • One reserved carrel hour
  • A worksheet matched to the question you sent
  • A brief check from the librarian on duty

Neighboring sittings

  • A full account walkthrough belongs to the Validator Desk
  • Group vocabulary belongs to the Circle Workshop

Before you travel

Write your question in one or two sentences when you book. Bring the public address on paper if the question depends on it. Keep private keys at home.

House limits

One reader per carrel. The hour is not extendable in place; if the question needs the full stake-program walk, the librarian will say so and offer a Validator Desk on another day. Available Tuesday to Friday and Saturday afternoon.

From first note to the chair

  1. Send the question, a preferred day, and a morning or afternoon preference.
  2. We confirm a carrel and request the 30 percent holding deposit.
  3. Arrive on time. The balance is due before you sit.
  4. Spend the hour on that question only.
