Privacy notice

This notice explains how Cognit Spindle handles personal information when you write, call, or sit for a staking and validator study appointment. It should be read with the cookie notice.

What we collect

From the contact form or email we collect your name, email address, chosen appointment, preferred date, number of people, and the message you write about what you want to study. If you pay a deposit we keep the transfer name, amount, and date so we can match the payment to the booking. During a sitting a reader may write public addresses you bring, on the worksheet you then take home. We ask you not to send seed phrases or private keys. If one arrives by mistake we delete it and reply asking you to rotate anything you exposed.

Why we use it

We use the information to answer you, hold a desk or seat, take payment, and keep a record of the appointment. The legal bases we rely on are your request to book a sitting, the contract formed when a deposit is accepted, and our legitimate interest in running a small reading room safely. Where Korean law requires consent for a particular use, we ask for that consent separately. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it to advertise third-party token schemes.

Retention

Unconfirmed inquiries are kept for 24 months so we can follow a thread if you write again. Confirmed booking records, including deposit amounts, are kept for five years to meet ordinary accounting needs in Korea. Worksheet copies are not filed by the room; you leave with the paper. Cookie-choice storage sits in your browser until you clear it, as described on the cookie page.

Your rights

Under the Personal Information Protection Act of Korea you may request access to the personal information we hold, correction of a wrong detail, deletion where retention is no longer required, and a pause on processing in the cases the Act allows. You may also withdraw consent where processing was based on consent, without affecting earlier lawful use. To use these rights, email hello@cognitspindle.click. We may need to confirm it is you before we change a booking record. You may also complain to the Personal Information Protection Commission or another competent Korean authority.

International transfers

The reading room operates in Korea and the mailbox is read in Korea. The website is a static site. If a host or a font provider processes a connection from outside Korea when your browser loads a page, that processing is limited to delivering the page and typefaces. Appointment records themselves are not placed in a foreign customer database. If a future host stores inquiry mail outside Korea, we will update this notice before relying on that transfer and will use a safeguard recognized under Korean privacy law.

Sharing

We share personal information with a bank when you transfer a deposit, and with a host that serves the website files. We also disclose information if Korean law, a court, or a competent authority requires it. Readers on the rota, Hana Seo and Minjae Kwon, see booking notes because they lead the sittings.
